As a kid...

Growing up, I always dreamed of building a cozy home and raising a family, just like the pioneers. When I met my husband, that dream became our reality. Together, we built a beautiful log cabin where we raised our three sons, creating a life filled with love, adventure, and the warmth of a dream fulfilled.

Those years were some of the best in my life—I was living the life I had always imagined!

Then Life Changes...

The day came when we made the bittersweet decision to sell our beloved log home and start a new chapter in a different state. Saying goodbye to the life we had built was deeply emotional—it felt like letting go of everything I held dear.

We settled in Western Nebraska, and looking back, it was one of the best choices we ever made. It was here that my personal journey truly began to take shape.

But when my sons grew up and left home, I found myself at a crossroads. I felt lost, purposeless, and unsure of how to navigate the next 40+ years of my life. It was a time of deep reflection and transformation.

Then I heard these words....

Like so many women who pour their hearts into motherhood, I wasn’t prepared for the emotional upheaval when my sons left home. I never imagined I’d feel so lost—depressed, purposeless, and unsure of who I was without the role of “mom” defining me. It hit me hard how much of my identity was tied to raising my boys, and I realized I had never planned for what came next.

One day, as I stood in my garden, ready to pull weeds, I decided to shake off the gloom by listening to a podcast. I can’t recall who I chose or even the full message of the episode, but I’ll never forget a few powerful words spoken by the woman hosting it…

" YOU ARE A SOVEREIGN BEING"!

Finally, I Found My Footing!

I’m not sure how those words might hit you, but for me, they felt like permission.

Permission to pause. Permission to let go. Permission to take a break from it all.

I stood up, fists clenched, tears streaming down my face, and declared out loud, “I’m taking my life back!”

I didn’t fully understand what that meant at the time, but in that moment, I felt a spark of empowerment.

That declaration marked the beginning of my transformation—from being solely a mom to rediscovering who I was.

It was the start of a journey filled with growth: shifting my mindset, releasing limiting beliefs, learning new skills, embracing my health and well-being, and trusting myself again.

It was a path back to me.
